Make the WJPS web site your Home Page!
An easy way to remember to check the school web site is to make it your Home Page so it opens up automatically whenever you go online.
The “browser” is the program that gets you online to the Internet. The most popular are Internet Explorer, Netscape and Safari. When you open the browser to go online, the first page you see is the “Home Page.” You can change it so that the WJPS web site is the first page you will see every time you go online.
First, open whichever browser you have, then find it in the list below, and follow the instructions for Windows PC or Macintosh.
After you are finished, click on Teachers on the school website, which brings you to the Staff Directory. Click on Helen Reed to get back to this blog, and add a comment bragging about your accomplishment! If I get 25 comments, I will host coffee and dessert and a computer workshop at school for interested parents.

Internet Explorer 5 for Windows PC
1. Go to the Tools menu and choose Internet Options
2. Choose General from the tabs across the top of the popup window.
3. In the Home Page section, enter http://www.wjps.org in the Address field.
4. Click OK to close
Internet Explorer 5 for Macintosh
1. Go to the Edit menu and choose Preferences
2. Choose Browser/Display
3. In the Home Page section, enter http://www.wjps.org in the Address field
4. Click OK to close
Netscape 4 for Windows PC & Macintosh
1. Go to Edit along the top menu
2. Select Preferences
3. Select Navigator from the Category list shown on the left
4. Under the Navigator Starts With section, click Home Page and in the box labeled Location enter http://www.wjps.org
5. Click OK
America Online AOL for Windows PC & Macintosh
1. Start up America Online and sign on
2. Go to the Members menu and choose Preferences
3. Click on the WWW icon
4. In the Home Page box type http://www.wjps.org
5. Click OK
Safari for Macintosh
1. Go to Preferences in the Safari menu of your browser
2. Choose General from the icons across the top of the popup window
3. Enter http://www.wjps.org in the Home Page field
4. Click OK to close and save your changes
Firefox for Windows PC
1. Go to Options in the Tools menu of your browser
2. Choose General from the list on the left
3. Enter http://www.wjps.org in the Home Page Location(s) field
4. Click OK to close and save your changes
Firefox for Macintosh
1. Go to Preferences in the Firefox menu of your browser
2. Choose General from the list on the left
3. Enter http://www.wjps.org in the Home Page Location(s) field
4. Close the window to save changes
