"GETTING TO KNOW YOU" PTA Meeting Monday, September 8

The WJPS PTA is getting an early start with its first meeting of the year scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2008.  The Executive Board meeting is from 6:45 pm to 7:45 pm, and the General meeting is from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Parents are welcome to attend both meetings or just the General membership meeting.

Please come to the meeting to meet the PTA Executive Board members and learn how the PTA supports student learning at WJPS.  All parents and guardians are automatic members of the PTA.

Come to the meeting and learn about the many special events the PTA hosts for students and families, get information about the Office Depot and Target donation programs, and learn about other fundraising activities.  You will have the chance to get to know other WJPS parents and discover the many opportunities for you to support WJPS PTA programs.

The PTA meeting is important for another reason - nominations are being taken for the School Leadership Team (SLT).  The SLT is an important team of parents, teachers and administrators who work together in the best interests of our school and students.  SLT elections will be held at the next PTA meeting, Monday, October 6, 2008.

Please feel free to contact the PTA Co-Presidents, Debra Agin-Shine and Antonella Villa by calling the school and leaving a message or emailing them at wjpspta@gmail.com.

Several PTA notices were sent home today with students.  If your copies got lost in "back pack no man's land", you can click on the links below to view or download the notices.
